“Tumult has come to the ends of the earth,

for YHWH has a controversy with the nations.

He has entered into judgment with all flesh.”

(Jeremiah 25:31)

“In the latter days you will understand this.”

(Jeremiah 30:24)

“For thus said YHWH, the God of Israel, to me, ‘Take this wine cup of wrath from My hand, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. And they shall drink and stagger and go mad because of the sword that I am sending among them.

…  And you shall say to them, “Thus says YHWH of Hosts, the God of Israel, ‘Drink, be drunk, vomit! Fall and rise no more, because of the sword that I will send among you’.”  And it will be, if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you will say to them, “YHWH of Hosts says :

‘You will certainly drink! For look and see that I am beginning to work calamity upon this city (Jerusalem) which is called by My Name, and should you be completely free of punishment? You will not go un-punished; for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth,’ declares YHWH of Hosts.” (Jeremiah 25:15-16, 27-29)

 

It is clear that YHWH - Yahweh the Almighty - has a controversy with the nations.  The reasons are many.

First, because of the continuous persecution of the people of Israel for millenniums. 

Secondly, because the nations have divided, and continue to divide, God’s own land.

“I will enter into judgment against them on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations. And they have divided up My land.” (Joel 3:2)

Thirdly, because of the conspiracy of the nations to strip Israel of the ancient city of David and to make it a capital for the reign of the Antichrist.

Fourthly, because the nations’ cups of iniquity are full.  The conditions of the nations today are as they were in the days of Noah and the days of Lot – full of violence, corruption, depravity, and godlessness – these are the times of which the apostle Paul foretold:

“In the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy (profane), without natural affection, (callous and inhuman), unloving, unforgiving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips (slanderers), without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited (traitors, headstrong, haughty), lovers of sensual pleasures rather than lovers of God.”  (2 Timothy 3:1-4)

We could add a heap of modern day evils to this list - massive embezzlement, massive financial scams, massive indebtedness, terrorism, human trafficking, slavery, foeticide (millions of babies slaughtered in the wombs of women around the world), and the massive multi-billion dollar drug business, and the pornography trade. And there’s satanic enslavement, and the worldwide martyrdom of Christian believers (an average of 482 every day, or 176,000 each year). 

And there is the increasing criminalisation of anyone who stands for truth and righteousness and dares to speak out.

We are not talking merely about darkest Africa or North Korea. We are talking about the United States, Britain, Europe, Australia, Russia the Middle East, India, China, Asia, Latin America, and the islands and coastlands of the nations.

The nations are ripe for judgment today!

A SEVERE WARNING FOR THE UNITED STATES     

On April 20, a BP Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, about 50 miles off the Louisiana coast, exploded, killing 11 workers. 115 workers managed to get off alive before the rig sank two days later.   The result is being referred to as an “oil spill” or “oil leak.” (Not a big problem! We’ll fix that soon!)

But the truth is, it’s not merely a spill or a leak. The oil well at the bottom of the sea ruptured, releasing an oil “geyser.” 200,000 gallons of oil is spewing from the oil well with awesome pressure every day.

An engineer explains. “The BP platform was drilling for what they call deep oil. They go out where the ocean is about 5,000 feet deep and drill another 30,000 feet into the crust of the earth. This it right on the edge of what human technology can do. Well, this time they hit a pocket of oil having such high pressure that it burst all of their safety valves, all the way up the drilling rig and then caused the rig (that is, the whole platform which was like a multi-storey hotel with workers’ quarters and all) to explode and sink. The pressure behind this oil is so high that it has destroyed the maximum effort of human science to contain it.”

The BP people are not talking, but this well is drilled into a very large deposit that covers an area off shore of about 25,000 square miles. It has been described as either the largest or the second largest oil deposit ever found. This deposit could easily produce 500,000 barrels per day for 10 to 15 years. 

This is a truly massive deposit, and punching holes into such a deposit is a really scary event, as we are now seeing. 

POTENTIAL CATASTROPHE, AS 200,000 GALLONS

 OF CRUDE SPEWS INTO THE SEA EACH DAY

May 2/10. High winds and rough seas have hampered efforts to prevent the giant oil slick from reaching US shores and wreaking enormous environmental and economic damage on the fragile Louisiana coast.

Environmentalists said it could take decades for the maze of marshes - more than 40% of America’s ecologically fragile wetlands - to recover if waves simply wash the oil over miles of booms (floating barriers) set up to protect the coast. “The surface area is huge,” said Mark Floegel, a researcher with Greenpeace. “There probably aren’t enough booms in the world to protect what needs to be protected.”

Engineers are racing against time to shut off the flow of oil from the ruptured well, but are getting nowhere fast, as more than 200,000 gallons (around 750,000 litres) of crude spew into the sea each day.

An attempt to set a 5-storey-high, 100-ton high steel and concrete dome over the blow-out on the bottom of the ocean, failed.

May 5/10. In their worst-case scenario, BP executives told members of a congressional committee, up to 2.5 million gallons a day could spill if the leaks worsened, though it would be more like 1.7 million gallons a day.

Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal warned that the millions of gallons of crude being driven into shore by inopportune south-easterly winds formed a potential catastrophe. “This oil spill threatens not only our wetlands and our fisheries, but also our way of life,” he said.

The Gulf of Mexico is a prime spawning ground for fish, shrimp and crabs, and a home to oyster beds and a major stop for migratory birds.

Miami University researcher Hans Gruber said satellite images of the slick showed it was three times bigger than estimated, covering an area of 3,500 square miles (9,000 square kilometres).

At the current estimated rate of leakage, it would take less than eight weeks for the spill to surpass the 11 million gallons of oil that poured from the grounded Exxon Valdez tanker in Alaska in 1989.

There has also been political fallout as the White House put new domestic offshore oil drilling on hold until the disaster has been fully investigated.

The Gulf of Mexico “oil-spill” could prove to be the worst natural disaster in the history of the USA - costing many billions of dollars and causing ecological damage which may take decades to overcome. 

THE BLESSING,  or,  THE CURSE ?

Since the administration of Barack Obama became hostile to Israel, and demanded the division of God’s land and His chosen city of Jerusalem, many prophecy teachers have been expecting the US to run into another major catastrophe. It has now come!

Well, what did God say to Abraham?

“And I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you will be a blessing. And I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you.”  (Genesis12:2-3)

The Word of the LORD in Genesis 13:14-17, 17:15-21 and 35:9-12 makes it clear, the covenant regarding the land and worldwide blessing is being fulfilled through the Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and his sons.

And here’s another of God’s irrevocable promises regarding Israel:

“I will rejoice over them to do them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.”  (Jeremiah 32:41)

Whenever the US administration takes a stand against God’s covenant with Abraham and the people of Israel, a disaster of some kind hits the nation.

In August 2005, the very month that President George Bush pressed Israel to withdraw from Gaza, the massive Hurricane Katrina formed in the Gulf of Mexico and then struck four southern states of the US, flooding and virtually wiping out the city of New Orleans.

Then three weeks later, another massive hurricane by the name of Rita, hit the same area, bringing more destruction. This twin disaster was one of the most deadly and costly disasters in US history.

In 1989, the massive Exxon Valdez oil accident happened less than 48 hours after George H.W. Bush and James Baker opened talks with the Palestinians on March 22, 1989. The Valdez accident in Alaska began late on the night of March 23 with the first spill at 12:05 a.m. on March 24.

And now in 2010 there’s the Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico!  It began on April 20 — at the very time Obama’s team was pressuring Israel to cease construction in east Jerusalem.

The two largest oil spills in US history have corresponded to US actions on Israel’s covenant land. They have also caused America to forego more offshore exploration and become even more reliant on rogue nations for oil.

OBAMA’S DISASTROUS COURSE 

This year, in the United States, in spite of 75% of the Congress writing to the Secretary of State, supporting

Israel’s sovereignty and security, the Obama administration is seeking to force Israel’s leaders to surrender to anti-covenant rationalism.

President Obama said in one of his campaign speeches, “Nobody should be concerned about a few obscure Bible verses.”

I don’t know if Barack Obama regards God’s words in Zechariah 12:2-3 as obscure verses; but these words should be permanently embossed on his desk top:

“Look! I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the people around. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. And on that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem a very heavy rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will be severely injured.” 

As President Obama tries to enforce the division of Jerusalem, it is not surprising that the US is hurting very badly – not only from the oil spill, but also from the floods, tornados, bushfires, droughts and storms, as well as from its financial crisis, high unemployment, and the sky-high debt of multi-trillions of dollars.

The US is, in fact, in a bitter internal war with itself - “the writing is on the wall.”  And the nation is, and will, pay a very heavy price for its treatment of Israel, and as well as for its own government-sanctioned evils that are engulfing the nation. 

The disasters are all warnings of the coming collapse of this once blessed “super power.”  But it is not just the United States!

Other nations, including Australia, are also being bankrupted as powerful vested interests work persistently to establish a new world order in the hands of “the Masters.”

ALL NATIONS ARE AGAINST GOD’S COVENANTED LAND

A COMMENT, regarding President Barack Obama’s glaring opposition to Israel, has been received from an American prophecy teacher, a good friend of MRC:

“I would like to comment: Research reveals that the policy of the USA is the dividing of the Promised Land, and Jerusalem, into a Jewish and a Palestinian Arab sovereignty. But it’s not only the US - the entire world agrees that the Jews should surrender East Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the Golan to the Arabs.

“Opinions differ, but one thing we can be absolutely sure on is that all nations are anti-Israel; not one nation will agree to the boundaries set forth in Holy Scripture, identifying the Promised Land as an eternal inheritance for the children of Israel from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.  It is not surprising, therefore, that again and again, the Bible condemns the entire world.”

The LORD says: “I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel and will rebuild them as they were at first … It (Jerusalem) will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace that I make for it.” (Jeremiah 33:7, 9)

UNDERMINING ISRAEL’S HOLD ON JERUSALEM

Obama’s war on Jerusalem has not brought peace closer. His pressure on Israel has helped to harden the Palestinians’ rejectionist position on Jerusalem, as the call for a freeze in the city means the Palestinians are likely to demand an Israeli evacuation of the neighborhoods where US officials treat Jewish housing starts as an “insult.” This has made the already dim prospects for peace even more unlikely.

But one thing the administration has accomplished is to change the terms of argument about Jerusalem. The nerves of some American Jewish Democrats may be calmed by the charm offensive that has led administration figures to fan out to Jewish groups and reassure them of the strength of the alliance with Israel in spite of the recent controversy. But by treating Jewish Jerusalem as just another illegal settlement, the president has done more in the last six weeks to undermine Israel’s hold on Jerusalem than a generation of Arab propaganda.

ANTI-SEMITISM, PAST AND PRESENT

In 586 BC, Nebuchadnezzar, the powerful emperor of Babylon, fought against Jerusalem with all the kingdoms of the earth that were in his Empire. He burned and destroyed the temple and the holy city.

“The word which came to Jeremiah from YHWH when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth that were in the Empire he ruled, with all the peoples, were fighting against Jerusalem and against all its cities.”  (Jer. 34:1)

The destruction came on Jerusalem because the king rejected the Word of YHWH. But, in spite of the fact the God used Babylon to punish the kingdom of Judah, this mighty, invincible, brutal empire itself was judged 48 years later. Nebuchadnezzar’s empire fell to the Medes and Persians in 538 BC.

Then in about 474 BC, Haman, a Persian chief prince, planned to wipe out all Jews in the Persian Empire. His plan failed, and he was cursed. Hamen was hanged on the gallows that he himself had made. (Esther 7:10)

In 1945 AD, after he had eliminated 6½ million Jews, and was still seeking to annihilate the Jewish race, Adolph Hitler was cursed, and both he and his regime  came to ruin.

After 1918, Great Britain permitted Jews to return to the Promised Land, but from the mid 20^th century, it turned against the Jewish people and prevented thousands of holocaust survivors from reaching their God-given homeland. As a result the British Empire was cursed and disintegrated.

It’s a fact that all the empires and powers that tried to destroy the Jewish people failed and perished: Ancient Egypt, the Philistines and a host of Canaanites, the Assyrian, Babylonian, Greek and Roman empires, the Byzantines, Crusaders, the Spanish Empire, Nazi Germany, and the Soviet Union.

 

       EUROPE  

THE VOLCANO, GREECE, AND THE EURO

In recent years, most of Europe, including the Vatican, has been seeking to force Israel to divide God’s land, and to carve out a new Arab state from the Promised Land. Already, most of these countries have lost their own currencies and are suffering from a major financial disaster involving the Euro.  Greece came to the brink of the abyss last month (May).

Portugal, Spain and Italy are in a similar danger. All EU nations are now losing their national sovereignties as the Lisbon Treaty kicks in. And even though they may retain a national “identity,” they will ultimately be taken over by the enslaving Antichrist and his global regime.

The recent volcanic eruption in Iceland that belched out horrendous clouds of ash, filling the skies over most of Europe, endangering air traffic, and bringing England and most of the Continent to its knees, was a great warning to the nations.  Some see this tragedy as a fall-out of Europe’s recent anti-covenant stance that declared the Temple Mount and the Western Wall are not a part of Israel but are within “Arab territory.” 

But that horrific volcano was certainly an awesome foretaste of the coming Great Tribulation. The prophet Joel describes that time in these words:

“For the day of YHWH is coming. Surely it is near - a day of darkness and gloom; a day of clouds and gross darkness. As the dawn is spread over the mountains, so there is a great and mighty people coming. There has never been anything like it, nor will there ever be in the ages to come. A fire consumes before them, and behind them a flame burns ...” (Joel 2:1-3)

“I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and awesome day of YHWH comes.”  (Joel 2:30-31)

 

THE NORTHERN ALLIANCE

RUSSIA	TURKEY	SYRIA	IRAN	LEBANON-HIZB’ULLAH

Iran’s leaders are sealing the fate of their own nation! Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are a far cry from Cyrus, the great Persian Emperor, who the Almighty, Yahweh, called, “My servant.” Cyrus freed the Jewish slaves whom Nebuchadnezzar had captured – and he returned them to their own land - to Israel. 

Today the current Persian (Iranian) leaders are more determined than Haman, to wipe out the nation of Israel. But it is, in fact, the Iranian regime, along with Russia and Turkey, that will ultimately be wiped out! These three nations head the list of countries of the Northern Confederation that will shortly come down against Israel - and there meet their doom, according to the prophecy of Ezekiel 38:

“And with pestilence and with bloodshed I shall execute judgment upon him (Rosh – Russia; Persia – Iran, and Beth Togarmah -  the Turkic nations); and I shall rain on him, and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, with hailstones and burning sulphur.

“Then I will strike your bow from your left hand, says the LORD, and make your arrows (missiles) drop from your right hand. You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops, and the nations who are with you. I will give you as food to birds of prey of every kind and to the wild animals. You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Master, YHWH.” (Ezekiel 38:22 & 39:3-5)

SYRIA  AND  LEBANON

President Bashar Assad is also signing his own nation’s death warrant. In 62 years, Damascus has never agreed to a peace deal with Israel, and today Syria is targeting Israel by supplying tons of weapons including Scud missiles to Hizb’ullah, Iran’s proxy,  in Lebanon.

And Hizb’ullah, which is resolutely building up strength for its next attempt to wipe out Israel, is also going to bring destruction on itself, as well as its host nation. Lebanon itself has been brow beaten into complying with the anti-Israel agenda of Iran, Syria and Hizb’ullah.  Take a note of these prophecies regard-ing Syria and Lebanon:

“Look! Damascus is about to be removed from being a city, and it will become a heap of ruins.”  (Isaiah 17:1)

“For YHWH of Hosts will have a day of reckoning, against everything proud and lofty; against everything lifted up - and it will be brought low. And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up,” (Isaiah 2:12-13)

“He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an iron axe; and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.” (Isaiah 10:34)

Today, just a few nations are still friendly with Israel, and there’s now scarcely a nation that will bless the Jewish descendants of Abraham.  The danger now is that friendly nations such as the Denmark, Philippines, India and Australia will also turn against “the apple of God’s eye,” and will join the nations that are lining up for the judgment of the Great Day of the Wrath of God Almighty. (Revelation 16:14 & 6:17)

And now, the latest pressure being levelled at Israel is the UN’s Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. A month long NPT conference is going on at the United Nations in New York at the time of this report - May 2010.  And the US is now lining up with Egypt, Iran, the Arab world, and the other four permanent members of the Security Council – Britain., France, Russia and China – to demand that Israel give up its undeclared, deterrent nuclear weapons.

OBAMA  AND  EGYPT  STRATEGIZING FOR  NUKE-FREE  ISRAEL

May 6/10. Egypt and the United States have sought to draft a joint proposal for a Middle East free of nuclear weapons.

Officials and analysts said President Barack Obama has approved efforts of a joint resolution as a means of pressuring Israel to give up its purported nuclear arsenal. They said the resolution was not meant against Iran, which has denied it has a nuclear weapons program.

“The president is not happy with Israel’s nuclear capabilities,” former US envoy to the United Nations, John Bolton, said. “I think he would be delighted if Israel gave up its nuclear weapons.”

“Egypt and the Obama administration are negotiating right now on an Egyptian proposal for a nuclear weapons free zone in the Middle East, which certainly sounds good ...” Bolton, who served as Bush’s leading non-proliferation official, said. “Except when you think about it, there is only one country that resolution is targeted at, and that is Israel.”

“When I was in the Bush administration we refused to even talk about these kinds of ideas,” Bolton said. “I’d be quite worried about the possible outcome there.”

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on May 3:

“We want every country to be a signatory to the NPT (Nuclear non-Proliferation Treaty). We believe strongly in this. That’s why we are taking steps which have never been taken by any administration before.”

A few days later, we read of Iran’s declaration, which suggested that Iran’s weapons program is more advanced than we thought.

“IRAN NOW BELONGS TO WORLD’S NUCLEAR CLUB” 

May 7/10. Iran has entered the world’s “nuclear club” and major powers should accept it, an influential cleric told worshippers, underlining Tehran’s defiance in a dispute with the West over its atomic activities.

Ahmad Khatami, a conservative hard-liner in the clerical establishment, also warned the major powers that Iran could “endanger your entire world” in any future confrontation. “In regard to the nuclear issue, you should regard the nuclearization of Iran as a bygone fact,” said Khatami, who is a member of a powerful clerical body, the Assembly of Experts.

“By God’s grace, Iran has entered the world countries’ nuclear club,” he said in a sermon broadcast live on state radio. “If you should want to stand up against this religious (Islamic) system, you would be standing up against the religion of God, and if you should want to confront our religion we will endanger your entire world.”  http://au.news.yahoo.com

 

IRAN STRIKES SECRET NUCLEAR MINING DEAL

 WITH ZIMBABWE’S MUGABE REGIME

Apr 24/10. Iran has struck a secret deal with Zimbabwe to mine its untapped uranium reserves in a move to secure raw material for its steadily expanding nuclear programme.

The agreement was sealed during a visit to Tehran by a close aide to Robert Mugabe, the Zimbabwean president, who last weekend celebrated 30 years in power according to The Sunday Telegraph.

In return for supplying oil, which Zimbabwe desperately needs to keep its faltering economy moving, Iran has been promised access to potentially huge deposits of uranium ore – which can be converted into the basic fuel for nuclear power or enriched to make a nuclear bomb.

Of course, as you well know, Iranian leaders have long been calling for Israel to be wiped out! Iran’s leaders would also like to destroy “The Big Satan” - the USA.

BUT WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT ISRAEL?   

Israel is the “apple of God’s eye” - not because it is a wonderful, righteous, God-fearing nation. (The majority of Israelis still reject the Anointed One, Y’shua the Messiah, the Holy One of Israel. And tragically, Israel has a fair share in the corruption, perversion and rejection of God’s laws that is flooding the world today.)

But Israel, whether you or I like it or not, is “the apple of God’s eye,” because of God’s purpose and His covenant with Abraham. His choosing of Israel for His Name’s sake, is similar to His choosing of the church  – the Body of Christ – also, for His eternal purpose.

The Almighty made it clear to Israel:

“For you are a set-apart people to YHWH your God; YHWH your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, His special, treasured possession above all the peoples on the face of the earth.

“YHWH did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because YHWH loves you and because He keeps the oath which He swore to your forefathers, YHWH brought you out by a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

“Know therefore that YHWH your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps His covenant and loving-kindness for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”  (Deuteronomy 7:6-9)

For its part, Israel has failed many times (haven’t we all?), but God’s covenant is God’s covenant. And He has not abrogated His covenant with Israel. Rather, on so many occasions, (including the holocaust of WW2), He has brought the Jewish race through the valleys of the shadow of death.

God says: “See, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For My own sake, for My own Name’s sake, I do it; for how can My Name be profaned? And My Glory I will not give to another.” (Isaiah 48:10-11)

God has not cast His Hebrew people away! The Jews have been “on the shelf” for a long time, but Yahweh the LORD has been at work in them, especially over the past century, to restore; and His Word through Jeremiah is being fulfilled step by step:

“‘See, the days are coming,’ declares YHWH, ‘when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch. A King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety. And this is His Name by which He will be called, ‘YHWH Tzidkeinu,’ (Yahweh our Righteousness).”

“‘So then, the days are coming,’ declares YHWH, ‘when people will no longer say, “As surely as YHWH lives, who brought the children of Israel up out of Egypt,” but they will say, “As surely as YHWH lives, who brought up and led back the descendants of the House of Israel from the north land and from all the countries where I had driven them.” Then they will live in their own land’.” (Jeremiah 23:5-8)

(This is a Messianic prophecy that will be fully fulfilled in the Millennium). 

Now it’s true that Israel will undergo a purging time in the endtimes:

“Ahh!  for that day is great, there is none like it. And it is the time of Jacob’s distress, but he will be saved out of it.” (Jeremiah 30:7)

It’s true that a second holocaust will take place in Israel in the endtimes:

“In the whole land, declares YHWH, two thirds will be struck down and perish; but one third will be left in it. And I will bring this third through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My Name, and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘YHWH is my God’.” (Zechariah 13:8-9)

It is also true that the nations of the whole world are to be judged; and it is not only because of their centuries-long persecution of the people of Israel, but also because their “cups of iniquity” are full.  In short, the nations are ripe for judgment!

         THE NATIONS MUST DRINK FROM

           THE CUP OF GOD’S WRATH

Let’s return to the very important prophecy in Jeremiah 25:15-26.

Jeremiah 25:27-33, 37-38

“And you shall say to them, ‘Thus says YHWH of Hosts, the God of Israel, “Drink, be drunk, vomit!  Fall and rise no more, because of the sword that I will send among you”.’  And it will be, if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you will say to them, ‘Thus says YHWH of Hosts: “You will certainly drink!  For look and see that I am beginning to work calamity upon this city (Jerusalem) which is called by My Name, and should you be completely free of punishment? You will not go unpunished; for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth,” declares YHWH of Hosts.

“And you, Jeremiah, you shall prophesy against them all these words, and say to them, ‘YHWH roars from on high, and utters His voice from His holy dwelling place. He roars mightily over His habitation, a shout as those who tread the grapes, against all who live on the earth. Tumult has come to the ends of the earth, for YHWH has a controversy with the nations. He has entered into judgment with all flesh. As for the wicked, He has given them to the sword,’ declares YHWH.

“Thus says YHWH of Hosts: ‘Look! Evil is going forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind is being stirred up from the ends of the earth. And those slain by YHWH in that day will be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They will not be mourned, gathered up, or buried; for they will be like dung lying on the ground’.”  …

“ ‘And the peaceful pastures are laid waste because of the fierce anger of YHWH. Like a young lion He has left His lair; for their land has become a waste because of the fierce oppression, and because of His fierce anger’.”

Jeremiah 30:23-24

“Look, the tempest of YHWH! Wrath has gone forth; a whirling tempest. It will burst on the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of YHWH will not turn back until He has done it - until He has accomplished the intents of His heart.  In the latter days you will understand this.”

My dear Reader, we are undoubtedly in the “latter days” of the church dispensation right now.  And the “latter days” of Israel’s dispensation, and the “latter days” of the world’s rebellion against Almighty God, is very soon to begin.

These times are extremely serious and climatic. The tempest is soon to break forth upon the nations – the Wrath of God – the seven years of Great Tribulation such as the world has never seen before, and will never see again after it. (Matthew 24:21 & Daniel 12:1)

The Nations WILL Drink the Cup of Wrath

The disasters and other mega-events, upheavals and threats of war that are happening every day, are warnings from the Almighty, of the coming Day of Wrath.

“For there will be great tribulation, such as has never occurred since the beginning of the world until now; and there will be nothing like it again.” (Matthew 24:21)

The nations are certainly in upheaval today!  My friend, if you keep a notebook, and jot down every day the latest tragedy or threat, I am sure you will be shocked as you see that list growing rapidly. 

Today most of the world goes on without regard to the abyss ahead – the impending Great Tribulation. And tragically, most of the church seemingly goes on, oblivious to the coming horrific climax of the age; hoodwinked by a prosperity mentality; and criminally indifferent to the fate of the myriads of lost souls on the brink of eternity!

Today, it is just as the Messiah said:

“As it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man: people were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, and being given in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.”  (Luke 17:26-29)

Who was the Roman Caesar who played on his fiddle while Rome burned?  Nero, wasn’t it?  And who are the Presidents and Prime Ministers who have been fiddling while Iran and North Korea have built up their nuclear weapons potential? And who are the leaders playing chess while their nations have sunk deeper and deeper into insolvency, violence, and ruin?

Today, when billions of people are on the verge of an awful precipice, where are the Christian rescue squads?  When multitudes are perishing, why have the western churches become weighed down with deceptive enticements of the world? How many of us care that the Sacred Scriptures are being “burned,” and that 176,000 people are killed every year around the world, simply because they believe in Christ?

Today, long-held freedoms are being destroyed in most of our nations, and few are courageous enough to speak out, and declare the truth. 

On the Temple Mount, a non-Muslim can be arrested if he simply bows his head to pray.

In US schools, teachers now have to hide in a closet if they want to pray on campus; and students are no longer allowed to say, “God bless you.”

In the UK, and elsewhere, the freedom of speech is being curtailed, and preachers can be arrested for declaring what the Bible says.  It is getting closer to the time in western countries when preaching the Gospel will be criminalised, as it is already in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkmenistan, North Korea and the Maldives.

Last month, evangelist Franklin Graham (Billy Graham’s son) said, “I think it’s coming to this country (USA) where we will have the freedom to preach inside a church wall, but lose the freedom to preach outside.”

Already, within the walls of churches, preachers mince their words, afraid of upsetting “sensitivities,” and worse, fearful that their words will be recorded on a mobile device and reported, and then they will be charged with vilification, face a costly criminal case, and possibly end up in jail.

My dear reader, I ask you, when time is almost up, are we going to run around in circles chasing pretty rainbows, and build castles of sand, and cease to be concerned that our relatives, friends and countrymen are heading for destruction and the Lake of Fire?

?  HOW CAN WE BE SAVED

FROM THE GREAT TRIBULATION,

FROM SIN, AND FROM ETERNAL HELL ?

We can be saved!  Yes, we can be saved from the coming mega-disaster; we can be saved from the penalty of our sins, and we can be saved from eternal Hell! 

How?  There is only one way.  And that way is not through our efforts, struggles and good works.  Even if we struggled every day of our lives for the next two thousand years, that would still not save us.

And it is not through visiting “holy places”!  We could visit every temple or cathedral in the country; we could climb every “holy hill”; we could bathe in every “holy river, lake or pool”, and visit every “holy place” in the whole world, but that would not save us.

And it is not through having someone influential to defend us, and to plead our worthiness.  We might know the topmost advocates in the land; we might be close friends of the chief bishop of our religion, but they would not be able to save us.

And it is not through financial assets.  Even if we were billionaires, and gave our entire fortune to charity or to religious concerns, even that would not save us.

We cannot buy or work to procure or earn our salvation!

There is only one way!  And that is because salvation is such a costly gift. Yes, it is a GIFT, and the cost has been paid for by God Himself.  And for us to receive the gift of salvation, we must receive it as a gift – and not try to pay for it in anyway.

That gift cost God the life of His One-and-Only Beloved Son, Y’shua the Messiah – Jesus Christ.  It is not only that Jesus died the shocking death of crucifixion; it was the fact that the sin of the whole world was placed upon Him. “He was made sin” for us.  That means Jesus died for the trillions of sins of the billions of people who have lived on this planet.  I know that is hard to understand, and accept.

But this is what the Word of God says.

“We implore you on behalf of the Messiah; be reconciled to God!  He (God) made Him (Messiah) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”  (2 Corinthians 5:20-21)

“For when we were still weak, the Messiah at the right time died for the ungodly.” (Romans 5:6)

“God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, the Messiah died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)

“We have an advocate with the Father - One who pleads our cause - Y’shua the Messiah, the Righteous One; and He Himself is the propitiation - the atoning sacrifice for our sins; and not only for ours, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:1-2)

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in the Messiah, Y’shua our Master.” (Roman 6:23)

So to get a simple answer on how to be saved, we need to read this statement of the apostle Paul:

“What must I do to be saved?”

“Believe in the Master, Y’shua the Messiah, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:30-31)

To believe in Jesus, Y’shua, the Messiah (Christ), means to put your faith in Him – to yield your life to Him – to receive Him as your personal Saviour.

How does that take our sins away?  We certainly can’t wash and make ourselves clean. But the very moment we believe and trust in Y’shua who died for us on the cross of Calvary, His saving work becomes effective in us – it is applied to our lives, and we are saved. The curse – the penalty of our sin is removed. We are cleansed, forgiven, set free, and reconciled to the Heavenly Father. We become a new creature – a child of God, and His Holy Spirit comes to dwell in our innermost being – our spirit.

 

WHAT MUST I DO TO SETTLE THIS MATTER?

 

Just two things:

First, believe the Good News. believe the truth, from your heart and mind, as the apostle Paul says.

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance, that the Messiah died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

“WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF the LORD WILL BE SAVED.”  (Romans 10:13)

“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” (Romans 10:11)

Second, express your faith by praying (talking) to the Heavenly Father, and committing your life to the Master.

“The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart – that is, the Word of faith which we are proclaiming, that if you confess with your mouth Y’shua (Jesus) as your Master, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”  (Romans 10:8-10)

The following prayer will help you to express your faith, (if you now believe that Jesus is the Saviour, and if you truly want to follow Him from this day on).

Read the prayer first, and if you are ready, pray the prayer sincerely from your heart, and trust God to answer as you call to Him in the Name of the Lord Jesus, today.

Heavenly Father, I come to You just as I am, a sinner in need of Your grace and forgiveness.  I cease from all my own efforts of trying to prove myself worthy, and I call upon You in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to save me today.

I do believe that You have provided a free gift of eternal life for me through the work of the Lord Jesus. I now understand that He took all my sins upon Himself, and that He died to pay the penalty that I should have paid.

I also believe what Your Word says - that You raised Jesus from the dead. And I now express my faith that Jesus is indeed the living Saviour.

Lord Jesus I now yield my life to You, and receive You as my Saviour and Master. By Your grace I will live for You from this day on.

Thank You Father for making me Your child, and for cleansing me of my sin. Thank You for Your gift of eternal life.

Master, teach me Your way, and make me what You want me to be. Keep me in Your powerful hands and deliver me from evil, and from all my evil habits and idols. Help me to confess You as my Saviour before my family, friends and the world, and to live for Your purposes throughout my whole life. You alone will be my God from this day on.

Thank You Master, for Your great love and sacrifice to save me. Thank You so much, Father, for hearing and answering my prayer. Thank You. Thank You. Amen.

“For God has not destined us to suffer His wrath, but to receive salvation through our Master, Y’shua the Messiah.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9)

“For the Master Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. Then the dead in Christ - those who died with faith in the Messiah - shall rise first. Then we, the living believers who remain, will simultaneously be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Master in the air. And so we will be with the Master for ever.”  (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

“You have turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead - Y’shua, the One who delivers us from the wrath that is coming.” (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)

All true believers who are grounded in the Word of God, are waiting for the Master’s return. Many are on “tip toes” expecting that wonderful event very soon. Others have grown weary, and are no longer watching – as though the Lord had cancelled His promise.

“Hold fast to what you have until I come.”  (Revelation 2:25)

 

“I am coming quickly - soon! Hold on to what you have, so that no-one will take your crown.”  (Revelation 3:11)

THOUSANDS OF HAITIANS HAVE PROFESSED

 FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST SINCE EARTHQUAKE

Mar 2/10.  Many conversions took place during the three days of prayer and fasting called for by the Haitian government, Feb. 12-14. “People were in the streets, literally begging God for forgiveness and mercy.”

A reported 40,127 Haitians have made professions of faith in Jesus Christ since the major earthquake hit the impoverished nation in January. “Haiti is ripe for a spiritual movement from God,” according to Craig Culbreth, director of the Florida Baptist Convention’s missions dept. “I have never seen anything like it.”

A report in Baptist Press states that, “During a Feb. 16-17 citywide holiday observance in Cap Haitien, Haiti’s second largest city, Culbreth saw ‘thousands upon thousands filling the streets where people are seeking God and asking Him to spare them from what happened in Port-au-Prince.’  - Source: - Baptist Press News

GHANA: TRIBAL PRIEST COMES TO CHRIST, FREES SLAVES

Sex slavery is rampant among tribal religions in Ghana. One of the worst forms is the practice referred to as Trokosi: young girls are given to tribal priests as payment for sins. They become slaves and concubines.

Every Child Ministries is rescuing these women and their children born from fetish priests. ECM co-founder Lorella Rouster reports that their ministry has just recently liberated 55 slaves of the head “Thunder god” priest. She says this liberation was supernatural.

“Several members of the ECM team have been visiting this priest for the past five years. And, very gradually he has come to faith in Christ.”

Rouster says his conversion led to the release of the slaves. And that’s not all. “This priest convened all 63 other priests who were under him and urged all of them to follow Christ, too.”

Rouster says many of the liberated slaves have turned to Christ, also. But, she says, the road ahead is long. “Liberation is an event, but rehabilitation — that’s a process. Some of the things we’re doing are vocational training, counselling, and we’ll continue sharing the Gospel with them and disciple those that have come to Christ.”

176,000 CHRISTIANS MARTYRED IN 1 YEAR 

Apr 23/10. A new ministry partnership has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the fact that an estimated 176,000 Christians around the world were martyred – killed for their faith – in a one-year period from the middle of 2008 to the middle of 2009.  That’s 482 deaths per day, one every three minutes.  – www.wnd.com 

IRAN:  MASSIVE CRACKDOWN ON CHRISTIANS

Ap 23/10. Worthy News reported that Iran’s government has launched a massive crackdown on devoted Christians, including church leaders, as part of efforts to halt the growing Christian church in the Islamic nation, according to Iranian Christians and rights activists.

“As is often the case, arrests of Christians occur collectively and systematically.  Once one Christian group is detained, security forces acquire additional information from interrogations, and from investigations of confiscated cell phones and computers which disclose the location of more Christians,” the group added in a statement.

MALDIVES (Indian Ocean). NO CHURCH ALLOWED

Practice of any religion but Islam is banned in the Maldives Islands. Some non-Muslim Maldivians exist, but most live in secret. There are no churches in the entire country.

Please pray for religious freedom that would allow churches to exist in the Maldives.

Pray also for secret Christian believers living in the Maldives to grow in their faith, to seek the Lord’s wisdom, and to practice boldness in sharing about Jesus their Saviour with other Maldivians.

INDIA:  ANOTHER TWO MARTYRS

MADHYA PRADESH. Amit Gilbert a young pastor was martyred for Christ on April 17 in the town of Betul in M.P. Ten armed militants forced their way into an evangelistic event and attacked Gilbert and other Christians. They “broke the glass on vehicles, electrical lights, furniture and mercilessly beat the people with their sticks.”  The Christians, including Amit Gilbert, tried to escape. 

After realizing that the young pastor was missing, a search team found his dead body in a well.” His hands had been tied, and there were severe wounds on his head and back. 

BIHAR. Evangelist Ravi Murmu 30 was found after he had been hacked to death in Bihar state, on May 2.  He was part of an evangelistic team that showed the internationally-known “Jesus” film to residents of a village in Jamalpur municipality.

Murmu and his co-workers left the village after the film show, but the evangelist never reached home. A search began later, and soon the murdered evangelist was found with his right hand cut off, and deep cut wounds on his neck and other parts of his body.

Y’SHUA: “I am the Good Shepherd; the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)

“Remember the word that I spoke to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.” (John 15:20)

GREECE AND THE EURO CRISIS    

 

EU $1 TRILLION RESCUE PACKAGE FOR EMBATTLED EURO

May 10/10. Global policymakers unleashed an emergency rescue package worth about $1 trillion (750 billion euros) to stabilize world financial markets and to prevent the Greek debt crisis from destroying the euro currency.

EU Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn told a news conference the package of measures “proves we shall defend the euro whatever it takes.”

The emergency measures are much greater than any previous attempts by the 27-country EU, or the 16-state single-currency (EURO) group, to calm markets.

The measure comes after the Greek crisis drove sovereign debt yields and insurance on this debt to record levels. Both the EU and the IMF had already approved a 100 billion euro package to support Greece, whose budget deficit blew out last year to 13.6 percent of GDP.

To secure the funds, Greece has committed to deep budget cuts that have already caused violent public protests in the country as it moves to get the deficit back down to the EU limit of 3 percent.

Policymakers around the globe are worried the crisis in Greece could spread to other countries. Economists estimate that if Portugal, Ireland and Spain eventually come to require bailouts similar to Greece’s, the total cost could be some 500 billion euros.

May 11/10. A day after the $1 trillion rescue package was announced, excitement over the euro zone’s mammoth measure gave way to doubts as to whether the EU’s weakest economies can meet their end of the bargain and deliver drastic debt cuts. The doubts drove the euro and stocks lower.   - Reuters

“ONLY ‘UNITED STATES OF EUROPE’ WILL SAVE EURO”

Ap 22/10. A Citigroup note to clients has warned that the eurozone is likely to fall apart unless the European Union’s member states fuse both on the fiscal and political level.  “Europe needs to stand up and decide if it is going to be a ‘United States of Europe’ or a ‘patchwork quilt’ of independent states,” reads a note by Tom Fitzpatrick, chief technical analyst at Citigroup in New York.

The financial services firm, the largest in the world and one of America’s big four banks, says that if such integration is not on the cards, the euro area is “doomed” even if the current Greek crisis is resolved.  - Today @ 09:15 CET  

Investors also are warning of threats to the European currency even if the Greek crisis is resolved.

In February this year, hedge fund wizard George Soros also warned that the eurozone was bound to break up if there was no fiscal union.

The EU is the developing model around which many believe the future one-world integration of all things fiscal must be built.

COPENHAGEN AND WORLD GOVERNMENT

-  2012 GOAL -

Even though a controversial clause ushering in a new global “government” was dropped from last year’s failed Copenhagen Accord at the last minute, as negotiations collapsed, the UN is refusing to take no for an answer, and has named 2012 as the date the new world control agency will be launched.

The deal, which would have been signed off at Copenhagen if things had gone according to plan, has now been rescheduled to coincide with a new summit at Rio de Janeiro - scene of the big Earth Summit in 1992 - set to take place on the 20th anniversary of that event in 2012. Capitalising on the symbolism, UN documents call the event “Rio+20”.

A UN Environment Programme briefing paper put together for a conference of world environment ministers in Bali, Indonesia at the end of February, suggests the UN is perfectly placed to capitalise on a perfect storm:

The UNEP, which says in the documents it is working with Helen Clark’s UN Development Programme on the global governance idea, is proposing a new world order that fundamentally breaks the existing world economic model of free market capitalism, in favour of a world economy essentially controlled by a UN environmental treaty.

The UNEP says getting agreement for the new “green economy” from world leaders will “provide an opportunity to re-examine national and global governance structures” - an apparent reference to the reality that implementing such a global policy would require a global agency to ensure compliance and sanctions against countries that failed to meet their targets.

For the record, the UN plan to get a global government set up to control the regulation of world climate change and economic policies in the Copenhagen Accord was contained in Annex i, Article 38 of the Draft Accord:

At the start of a recent cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister Netanyahu quoted a statement by Theodor Herzl, as he unveiled a stamp of the Zionist founder.

“On June 11, 1901, Herzl said, ‘Do not rely on the help of foreigners nor on that of benefactors; do not hope that stones will become soft. Because benefactors give humiliating donations at most, and stones do not soften. A people that wants to stand upright must put all its trust in itself alone.”

“I must say that I was not familiar with this quotation, but one learns something interesting and important every day,” Netanyahu said.

In regards to professed benefactors, Herzl had a real point. But from a Spiritual point of view, trust in “self” can also fail or be quite inadequate.

The Jewish Scriptures (The Tanakh – the Old Testament) declares:

“Trust in YHWH with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”        (Proverbs 3:5-6)

“Trust in YHWH forever, for in Yah, YHWH, is a Rock of Ages - an everlasting Rock.” (Isaiah 26:4)

“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid. For YAH, YHWH is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation.”  (Isaiah 12:2)

“Trust in Him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us.” (Psalm 62:8)

And these promise-verses are for all of us in our times of trial.

 

PROMPT GLOBAL STRIKE A MISSILE TO HIT ANYWHERE IN 1 HOUR

Apr 2, 2010. A Washington report says US military planners have won President Obama’s support for a new generation of high-speed weapons that are intended to strike anywhere on Earth within an hour.

The non-nuclear weapons programme, called Prompt Global Strike, would feature hypersonic missiles that can deliver with such accuracy and force that they would greatly diminish America’s reliance on its nuclear arsenal.

Yet even now, concerns about the technology are so strong that the Obama administration has acceded to a demand by Russia that the US decommission one nuclear missile for every one of these conventional weapons fielded by the Pentagon. That provision, the White House said, is buried deep inside the New Start treaty that Obama and Medvedev signed in Prague in March.

TIBET QUAKE, 24TH MAJOR QUAKE THIS YEAR

The 7.1 earthquake that rocked southern Qinghai, China, on April 12, killed more than 2,000 and injured more than 10,000.  

This is the world’s 24th earthquake measuring at least 6.5 since January 1st.  So far, earthquake activity in the first four months of this year has claimed as many as 300,000 people. Over the same period last year, there were just twelve major quakes.  PRAY FOR TIBET.
